No on Prop 8 lawyers target Protectmarriage's 'false' ads

They want the ads, which my fact-checking has shown them to be, at best, misleading, taken off the air.

"Their ads are full of lies and this memo makes that clear" said Steve Smith, Campaign Manager for No on 8 in a press release. "There is nothing in Prop 8 about teaching children in our schools, nothing that would affect religion or religious institutions in any way, and Pepperdine University has made it clear they aren't involved in the Yes Campaign in any way."

Here's the letter they're sending to stations across the state.

Keep in mind, there's no legal argument or threat being made here, even though these letters come from a law firm. They're saying, hey, a Superior Court judge in Sacramento has already called some of the claims in these ads "false and misleading" -- so maybe you should think twice about airing these.
